For those who simply do not like training, good news! No training is allowed during the strict phase of the metabolic balance programme. For those who love to lift weights, do cross fit, or really sweat off the day in the gym, it's a little more tricky.
The "strict phase" of the metabolic balance program is phase 2 of the programme. It takes 14 days to go through this stage and it is a time during which you follow a low-carbohydrate, low-sugar diet without any oil, designed to reset your metabolism and support weight loss. You will have a select list of organic foods chosen for just your body and what it needs. The food ingredients are nutrient-dense and arranged into three specific meals that you can choose from every day. Below is an example of one of the three meal plans you can get. You can also see an example of selected foods for this specific meal plan.
As you can see the meal plan is very precise and sticking to the prescribed elements is essential for the successful weight loss journey as well as achieving the other benefits. Mostly, it is recommended not to engage in strenuous exercise during this phase of the program because it can increase the body's demand for glucose and slow down the metabolism reset process or even stop the process. In such cases, you won't see the desired results. If you happen to do a HiiT training session after work, your body will require recovery and it will be hungry for more than what is given. Additionally, low carbohydrate and sugar levels in the body during the strict phase can result in low energy levels and make it difficult to sustain intense exercise.
However, light to moderate physical activity, such as gentle walking, yoga, or stretching, is still encouraged during this phase. This can certainly help improve circulation, boost energy levels, and reduce stress. It is also important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have any health concerns or underlying medical conditions.
The strict phase is just one component of the metabolic balance program, and once the desired weight loss and metabolic reset have been achieved, individuals can gradually introduce more variety into their diet and increase their level of physical activity as recommended by their healthcare professionals.
